Danbury Mint

The Danbury Mint is a world-leader in the design and development of fine collectibles.

For over three decades, Danbury Mint has been serving the needs of collectors to acquire keepsakes of lasting meaning, beauty and importance. The company provides collectors and enthusiasts with a varied and ever-changing assortment of quality products. Examples include: exclusive figurines, porcelain and vinyl dolls, die-cast metal vehicles, jewelry, and fine porcelain collector plates. Additionally, the company offers licensed products from some of the country's leading companies and organizations including John Deere, Pillsbury, The Walt Disney Company, General Motors and Goebel.

For several years Danbury has released porcelain figures of NFL and Major League Baseball stars. This website currently catalogs over 190 of them; I'm confident that this list is not all-inclusive, but it does represent a large majority of what has been sold. Danbury Mint has done something no one else has done; they have released multi-figure editions with as many as ten figures on one base, showing a full or partial starting lineup of history teams. If you check the prices on these pieces at ebay, you will find that they are extremely popular and valuable. I would love to see these done through McFarlane (larger than the 2" ultimate team sets they now produce.)

Danbury Mint also released two NHL figures but does not list them on their site, and does not show NHL as one of their licensed organizations. They issued one bronze figure, of John Elway, as well.
