McFarlane Releases Photos of Brett Favre Collector's Edition

Photo Release Signals Collectors That Favre Figures Will be Issued in Spite of Retirement

This week, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre announced his retirement from the NFL. The news sent reverberations through the sports world - fans were surprised by the announcement, hoping to enjoy a few more seasons before Green Bay's favorite son became a legend.

The timing of this announcement made the release of the scheduled Brett Favre Collector's Edition figure uncertain, but with the release of the photos of this figure McFarlane appears to have confirmed the figure will be issued in spite of the retirement.

The Brett Favre Collector's Edition features the basic pose of the NFL 12 Brett Favre 3 figure, but shows off the Packers star in his road white uniform, complete with a football in hand, a bench behind him, snow on the ground and Green Bay's new sideline hat.

This boxed set is due in stores in early September. A LaDainian Tomlinson collector's edition figure is also expected to be released around this time.
