McFarlane Toys and the Phoenix Coyotes are teaming up once again and honoring Bobby Hull with a stadium giveaway figure in February 2008.
The Coyotes' franchise has always embraced their roots in Winnipeg, and one of the greatest players in franchise history is Bobby Hull. Bobby Hull became a hockey legend with 15 dominant seasons as a Chicago Blackhawk, before venturing out to join the World Hockey Association's Winnipeg Jets. His last season in Winnipeg saw the Jets join the NHL back in 1979. Between the two leagues, Hull scored 913 goals and became a household name. The Jets franchise moved to Phoenix in 1996, and was re-born as the Phoenix Coyotes. Current Coyotes' goaltender Mikael Tellqvist has an image of Bobby Hull on the right side of his mask.
On Feb. 19, 2008 the Coyotes will honor Hull with a 3-inch McFarlane Sports Picks figure giveaway, some 19 years after his number-nine jersey was retired. Phoenix will be hosting Chicago that night (another nod to Bobby Hull), and will give away 16 thousand figures to the fans in attendance. Return
