Sports Action Figure.com has expanded the variety of information it provides to the sports action figure collector with a new blog. The blog will provide the webmaster's thoughts on a variety of matters relating to sports action figures, sports and collectibles.

"Up to now I've limited the information on Sports Action Figure.com to news stories and product descriptions," said webmaster Jeff Schaefer. "The main focus of this site is to serve as an in-depth informational resource for collectors who want historical information regarding their hobby, and to provide a single source for new product announcements. There are many aspects of the sports action figure hobby that are open to discussion, however. While the rest of the site will remain a straight information resource, the blog will offer opinions about a wide range of matters involving sports figures and sports in general.

"Many of these matters are discussed on Spawn's discussion forum," added Schaefer. "The problem is that those discussions last for a few days and then slip away as new topics are presented and discussed. The blog will have far fewer topics so each subject's discussion will be prominately displayed for much longer. I'll devote considerable space on each blog entry to covering the aspects of each topic - certainly the opinions are my own, but visitors are welcome to offer their thoughts with their replies."

Visitors may post their responses to the blog entries without being a registered with blogger.com. "I'm going to offer free access to the blog responses for now," said Schaefer. "If people post spam or inappropriate remarks I'll be forced to change that, but for now at least the responses are open to everyone."
