McFarlane Plans Barry Bonds '756' Collector's Edition Figure to Accompany All-Star Exclusive Release

Collector's Edition Figure Accompanies Exclusive "Gray Uniform" Exclusive Figure

To accompany the exclusive Barry Bonds figure at the 2007 All-Star FanFest in San Francisco, McFarlane will also release a Bonds figure on the retail market as part of their Collector's Edition line.

The two figures commemorate Bonds' chase of Hank Aaron's all time home run record. The event exclusive figure will debut at the MLB All-Star FanFest, with 3,000 gray-uniform figures available in McFarlane's classic clamshell packaging. The Collector's Edition will be painted in San Francisco's home white uniform and will be offered in a special version of the Collector's Edition packaging.

When exactly will the Collector's Edition hit stores? That's up to Barry. The Collector's Edition version will ship to stores the day after Bonds hits home run #756. Bonds has nine home runs through the Giants' first 26 games (an average of one homer every 2.88 games). At that pace, he projects to hit his record-breaking 756th career home run in the Giants' 64th game on June 12th.
