McFarlane Announces Collectors Edition David Ortiz

Boston Red Sox DH to be Featured in CE Release in September, 2007

McFarlane Toys presents the latest in their Collector's Edition line of Sports Picks figures, featuring Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz. "Big Papi" arrives in the Collector's Edition packaging sporting Boston's alternate red jersey, and featuring his gallop around third base following yet another game-winning homer. Ortiz got tired of his teammates bashing him on the helmet as he touched home on a game-winning homer, so he started flipping off his helmet as he rounded third base. This figure shows Ortiz with the helmet at his feet.

The figure will go on sale in September, 2007.
