What
is This Site About?
The main focus of this site is sports action figures.
(Hence the name.) I'm an avid collector of sports figures and share many of the
interests and concerns you probably have about this hobby. I created this site
to give action figure collectors and sports collectors like you a good resource
for finding out information about new and previously-released sports figures.
This
site currently has more than 2,500 figures in its database, with 5,000 photos
to illustrate them. The vast majority of those figures are McFarlane Sports Picks;
for the past five years Sports Picks have been the biggest name in the hobby.
Upper Deck All-Star Vinyls are also included. These cartoonish, super-hero figures
provide a terrific contrast to the hyper-realism of the Sports Picks and give
a new dimension to the information on this site that I think is a lot of fun.
You'll find Gracelyn Re-plays, Headliners and Microstars, Gladiators of the Gridiron,
Hartland Plastics and many other sports action figures here as well.
I want
to add more though. I plan to add Starting Lineups and all the other sports figures
that have been released. Little by little I'm tracking that information down,
but you can help. If you have a database or spreadsheet or even just a typed checklist
of figures by some company not included here, contact
me and let me know about it.
If there is a specific nonsports product
line that you have the information for and would like to see it on this site,
contact me and we can discuss it. With very few exceptions
I'm going to leave non sports action figures to other websites that are devoted
to those product lines, but I wouldn't mind adding Spawn and McFarlane Dragons
to this site. If you're interested in supporting that, let's talk.
